An arcade title from Playtech, Bonus Bowling gives you the opportunity to place wagers on the outcome of bowling games. The game’s design will take you right next to a bowling alley where the game takes place, with the betting options being located nearby. The game is easy enough to understand, but we’ll explain it in more detail below.

Graphics & Theme

The bowling theme is evident once you take a look at the game design. About three quarters of the screen is taken over by the bowling alley, with the pins in place and waiting for the ball to come their way. The rest of the screen is occupied by the betting options and the displays which show you the amount wagered, won, the points on each throw and their total. Below, there are five different options you can go through if you want to place a wager. That’s about it for the elements that are present in the game. Its graphics are 3D and quite nice to look at, plus there is a bit of background noise to give you the impression that there are other people as well around, having fun.

Special Effects

The betting options that I’ve mentioned above are all available on the right side of the screen. You can select as many as you like, even place a wager on all of them if you prefer. Each option has different odds attached to it, plus the choice to place a wager by clicking on the – or + button.

The first option is betting on a result with 0 to 3 points, the odds given here being x2. Next is the result of 4 to 6 points, with x3 odds offered. The third option is 7 to 9, where the odds are x5. The last two options are Spare (x10 odds) and Strike (x25 odds). Once you’re done with your wagers, you click on the Throw button and the game starts. You go through two throws, with results appearing on the displays. If you have at least one wager that is correct, you find out how much you’ve won.

Overall

Fans of bowling will find this a soothing and easy to play game, without much to do on your part. You simply place the wager on the outcome, while the game does the rest.
