A game that should prove a welcome distraction for fans of the cinema, Cinerama provides us with a 5 payline game and 5 reels that are used to support them. The Playtech design looks pretty good all things considered, with the graphics involving lots of movie related equipment and on top of that some characters that could prove interesting. The game has the added bonus of coming with a progressive jackpot, which when combined with features like the scatter or a wild can make the game considerably more attractive.

Graphics & Theme

The world of cinema is the star of the game, so the focus is mostly on how movies are made and that means focusing on the equipment that is used in this case. That’s what all the symbols are about at least, the only one different being the director which looks pretty bored. The area at the top, near the logo, shows us a different story though. You will notice the camera man and the director shouting on the left side, while on the right side you can see two actors, the male playing a vampire that’s biting the woman’s neck. It’s all very well made, with the graphics being chosen correctly for the kind of theme they want here. You will find that it’s a fun experience playing this slot, especially if you enjoy the movie world and what goes on behind the scenes.

The film project acts as a wild symbol in this game, clearly the most important element available since it can trigger a progressive jackpot. For that to happen, a five symbol combo needs to appear while the wager is at its highest level. For smaller wagers, the payout is only 10,000x the line bet for the same combo. The wild symbol acts the way it usually does, able to substitute for other symbols if it’s in the right place to help it create a new combo.

Two additional symbols exist here, each one triggering bonus rounds, though they do it in different ways. The director symbol is the regular kind, which has to appear on the same payline three times in order to get its bonus round going.

On the other hand, the headphone symbol only needs to appear once and in any position on the 1st reel, in order to trigger its own bonus game.

Overall

Movie buffs will enjoy getting another small glimpse into the world of cinema, and for that purpose you will find that Cinerama does great. It’s not feature heavy, but it looks good and it has a progressive jackpot, so there are some things that are going for it.
