Gold Rally takes us on an adventure in a gold mine, with three funny characters showing us the way to riches. The game is a classic, but on its 3 reels you will find a total of 8 paylines, arranged differently than usual, as you will red more about below. The game’s action actually is placed inside the gold mine, with the tunnels visible on the right side and with a mine cart being used by miners to move around. The game does have one feature, a scatter symbol that is one extra reason to play this slot, besides the progressive jackpot.

Graphics & Theme

Considering that this is a classic slot with 3 reels, I’m impressed at the quality of the design. Though it might not stand the test of time and it’s not modern, the design does look good and even though the graphics style might not impress, the level of detail is good enough and it shows that the developers had the interest to do things right in this case. On the right side of the screen, you will notice the gold mine where the action is taking place, with the tunnels supported by wooden beams and with a mine cart going down the rails. Inside the cart, there are three characters, all amazed at what they’re seeing (I can only assume they’re looking at big chunk of gold). The reels are to the left, encased in a wooden frame and using some sort of stone as the background for the symbols. The symbols include images of dynamite sticks, a balance for weighing gold, a mining cart, a gold nuggets, horseshoes, the GR logo, a pickaxe, a miner’s lamp and a revolver.

The main thing you’re probably interested in is the progressive jackpot, but you will not find that it’s that easy to win. It requires the presence of 9 scatter symbols on the screen, basically meaning that the entire 3×3 game area has to be occupied by them. The weighing balance is the scatter symbol in this case and it requires a minimum of five symbols in order to give out a prize. For five to eight scatters, payouts vary between 5x and 200x the bet value, while nine will give you the jackpot.

The second feature would be the bonus round. The game needs four dynamite sticks to be present in order to give you access to the bonus game, but at the same time the sticks have to show up in the four corners of the game area.
