The Rocky slot was designed by Playtech, using an official license and giving all its fans a chance to experience the story for themselves, all while placing wagers on the slot’s 25 lines. This 5 reel game has a design that was kept as simple as possible, using whenever possible real photos of the actors that played in the Rocky movie. Other than that, the game was kept simple and nice, with black backgrounds for the symbols and with a white and red image placed in the area behind the logo. Wild symbols, scatters, multipliers and free games are available as features in this game.

Graphics & Theme

Whether you’re a fan of Rocky or not, chances are that you will recognize most of the actors that played in it, and which are now symbols in the game. I’ll name just Stallone and Dolph Lundgren here, but the rest of the characters are well known as well. The focus is mostly on the characters, on the United States and on boxing. There are the five letters of the ROCKY name for example, each one appearing as a symbol and themed around the American flag. The boxing gloves are an example of the focus on the fight, but overall you will find that the actors make up for most of the symbols.

Special Effects

Rocky Italian Stallion, that’s what the scatter symbol has written on it, with a red silhouette of a fighter behind it. As is usually the case, you will find that there are two types of advantages you can get from a scatter. The first one would be the cash prize that will be awarded whenever at least two scatters are present on the reels. The payouts start slow, with just 1x the bet for two symbols, but they go up quickly and reach 100x when you have five. At the same time, as long as you have 3+ scatters, you will be awarded with a number of free spins that have 2x multipliers. The player will get either 15, 20 or 25 spins, for 3, 4 or 5 scatters.

Rocky3

Rocky is the game’s most important symbol, activating the top jackpot for the player and also offering payouts for as little as three symbols in a combo. The ROCKY letters, the scatter and the bonus symbols can’t take advantage of the wild’s substitution powers, but it will work with all the others.

Finally, the game has a Knockout Bonus game as well, which requires the presence of a white glove symbol on the 1st reel and a red glove on the 5th reel. If you get both of them at the same time, you get the bonus game. You pick the opponent that Rocky will go against and then you get paid depending on how many rounds of the fight he wins, or if there is a KO that Rocky wins.

Overall

A game that looks good and plays just as well, Rocky should be on everyone’s must play list, at least if they enjoyed the movies.
