The name might be a bit unusual, but it’s going to feel appropriate when you notice the inspiration of the slot machine, which is the Chinese people and many of the things that make them special. In this 5 reel slot machine, there are only 9 paylines available, but they each allow for wagers of up to $100. The payouts are considerable as well, going as high as $500,000, while the features will give the player multipliers, wild symbols and scatters.
Graphics & Theme
The game is very pretty to look at, the Chinese theme being enhanced by a lot of flourishing details. There are a lot of ornamentations used everywhere and even the payline numbers are beautiful red stars with gold around the fringes. If you look at the reel borders or at the golden dragon border that is placed beneath the logo, you will notice the same attention to detail and the same luxurious use of gold. This beautiful design extends to the betting options, which are green and with gold decorations all around them. The symbols are either playing cards (in Chinese inspired fonts and with decorations on each one), or they are elements from the culture of this great civilization (Koi carp fish, dragons, fire birds, the Emperor’s hat, a Chinese man and a masked man).
Special Effects
The wild symbol will give you the image of a Chinese man, dressed in rich clothing, with a long beard and smiling at you. It is limited to three reels of the five that the game offers, the ones in the middle of the screen. Whenever a wild symbol manages to help you form a new combo, you will find that you get double the prize as a result.
The other major feature offered here is the scatter symbol, the gold decorated hat being the one that appears as its image. The presence of at least two scatter symbols will result in a payout being offered to you, though it’s a small one if there aren’t more of them present. The most you can get is 100x what you put in for that round, but you need five scatter symbols for it.
Overall
The game doesn’t give you as many features as you might be used to, but it does offer a great looking design and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed looking at it as I played the game.
